GREEN-fingered Crickhowell Primary School pupils spent a week working on all things green and eco-friendly
The week involved some fantastic activities including seed planting, den building, bug hunting, heathy juice making, a recycling workshop, wheelbarrow planting, reptile handling, a visit from the Flying Pizza Theatre company who presented the ‘Jungle Book’ and a celebration of 60 Years of the Brecon Beacons National Parks. All the events were organised by the staff. “The children enjoyed a glorious week of learning outdoors in the sunshine with pupils from nursery age to Year 6 all getting stuck into environmental activities and improving the school grounds,” said assistant head teacher Rob Francis.
