Plans are well underway for the 2026 Royal Welsh Show Horticultural Village, which will return during the show from July 20-23 at the Royal Welsh Showground in Llanelwedd, Builth Wells.
Launched in 2024, the Village celebrates all aspects of horticulture in Wales, from community and commercial growing to competitive showing and public displays. It also highlights the health and social benefits of gardening.

Visitors can expect a programme designed to inspire, educate and collaborate, with inclusive social spaces, meeting areas, and demonstration stages encouraging learning, creativity, and engagement. The competitive element will take place in the same area as last year, accessible via internal routes or external pathways. The Garddle area, hosting general competitions, children’s activities, and trade stands, will once again flow into the Eisteddflodau area, featuring floral art, workshops, and an expanded Farchnad dedicated to Welsh growers.
A highlight for 2026 will be the presence of Adam Frost, the British garden designer and horticulturalist known for his Chelsea Flower Show successes and work on BBC Gardeners’ World. Mr Frost will take part in judging and engage with visitors across the Village, offering attendees a chance to see one of the UK’s leading horticultural figures in action.
Awards presentations will take place in the Dysgubor Marquee on Monday and Thursday. Competition schedules are now available on the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society website, with entries open for honey, floral art, vegetables, plants, cut flowers, children’s sections, and micro gardens.
The Royal Welsh Show is one of the UK’s biggest agricultural events. Over four days, livestock and equine competitions draw entrants from across the country, while visitors can also enjoy forestry, crafts, countryside sports, shopping, food, and a full programme of entertainment and displays.
