PREPARATIONS for the 2016 season are already underway at Brecon Cricket Club with the setback of again not being granted promotion by the League following both teams successful 2015 season a distant but disappointing memory.

The Club have signed several new players and with all of last year’s successful squad available for the 2016 campaign everyone is look forward to the challenge of continuing to prove the overall strength of the Club by reinforcing previous successes on the field.

The Club are presently staging senior pre-season nets at Christ College on Tuesday evenings 7pm to 8.30pm which will continue through until the Easter break with the last session on March 23.

As always both present and new players are welcome to just turn up and enjoy.

Junior nets will be held on Thursday evenings commencing February 25 at Christ College, school age group two to five years will be on between 7pm to 7.40pm and School age six and above between 7.45pm to 8.30pm. Further information can be obtained from Terry Dickson on 07779371128.

The first League games will be on May 7 with the first team home to Malpas and the second team away at Machen. The following friendly games have been arranged for the start of the season Builth Wells, away on April 17, Merthyr away on April 23 and Christ College away on April 30.
