A LATE try for the visitors robbed Gwernyfed of a precious victory as they head into their hotly anticipated game with Brecon this weekend still searching for their first win of 2012.

Fairwater flyer Alex Theaker finished off a thrilling move started from deep after Danny Skyrme went for a long clearance instead of kicking for touch.

Gwernyfed seemed to have secured a confidence-boosting victory as the referee prepared to whistle for full time but the splendid Fairwater finish left them with just a losing bonus point.
