Brecon FC bounced back at the weekend - following a midweek loss at Rhayader Town Reserves - with a 4-2 home win over Penybont United.

Penybont took the lead in unusual fashion through Jack Duggan who scored direct from a corner.

Kyran Dillan drew Brecon level from a Charlie Mills corner just before half-time and soon after the break struck again from an Aaron Mills through ball.

Fraser McAuley extended the lead when he headed his first goal for the Stags from another Charlie Mills corner but Conor Walby kept the Polecats in contention when Harry Bufton put him through on goal.

But Morgan Preece ensured there was no way back for Penybont when he netted from distance to clinch the three points for Brecon.

Elsewhere, Talgarth Town are the new Watson Financial Mid Wales League (South) leaders after twice coming from behind to triumph 4-3 at Builth Wells Reserves.

The young Bulls made a swift start and forged a two-goal lead through Jacob Moore and Kai Bridgeman. Two goals in three minutes from Grzes Chodnicki (pen) and Tom Sharman-Jones saw Talgarth level but Seth Bridgeman regained the lead for Builth just before half-time. Harry Sharman equalised with his first goal of the season for Talgarth on 76 minutes and Sharman-Jones won it for the Royals six minutes later with Builth’s frustration boiling over when player-coach Bradley Rollinson saw red.
