Brecon Corries and Llandrindod Wells carry local hopes in the JD Welsh Cup in Saturday’s first round proper.
Both are away from home with Corries visiting Pencoed Athletic, from the South Wales Alliance, while Llandrindod travel to JD Cymru South side, Trefelin BGC.
And Llandrindod have been handed a timely boost with the news that Jack Evans returned to The Broadway on transfer deadline day followng a brief spell wit JD Cymru South side, Abergavenny Town.

In the Aral League North East, Builth Wells and Rayader Town are both at home with Builth gunning for revenge when they welcome Rhos Aelwyd to The Lant Field. Builth suffered a 7-1 defeat at Aelwyd last month which is the one blemish on what has been a bright start to their season. The Bulls admitted they did not turn up on the day and will be keen to set the record straight. Bot Builth will have to do it without Tommy Rowlands and Ryan Powell, who are both suspended, but Jamie Evans could return to the squad,
Rhayader host Corwen and will be aiming for their first league win against their fellow strugglers. Rhayader have brought in Mark Jones, Tai Jones and Grant Stamp prior to the transfer deadline.
Hay St Marys know their early season form in the MMP Central Wales League South will be put to the test when they visit Radnor Valley. Both sides have been tipped for the title and there will be several keeping a close eye on the result from The Bypass. Radnor beat The Saints in their two league meetings last season but Hay bucked that trend when lifting the Radnorshire Cup in April with a 2-0 win over The Goats
Knighton Town are away at Llanilar aiming to maintain their bright start.
Presteigne St Andrews, who were scheduled to host Radnor Valley last night (Tuesday), have a day at the seaside, Corin Jones takes his young side to Aberaeron while Talgarth Town are still seeking their first points when they go to Tregaron.
In the Watson Financial Mid Wales League (South), St Harmon and Hat St Marys Reserves, who both won their opening fixture, clash while Newcastle kick off their campaign away at Presteigne St Andrews Reserves.
Builth Wells Reserves are hopeful of getting their FAW National Reserve League season back on track when they visit Rhayader Town on Friday night. The Bulls, who boast a one hundred per cent record, have been frustrated with their last two games postponed with the fixture planning again leaving a lot to be desired. Llandrindod are at home against Welshpool Town in the Reserve League on Saturday.
