Knighton Town Reserves stretched their unbeaten run to eight in the Watson Financial Mid Wales League (South) with a commanding 3-0 victory over struggling Talgarth Town.
After a slow start, the Radnor Robins’ second string, formed only at the start of the season, took the lead in the 10th minute when Jack Brindley converted a penalty following a foul on Louis Scott. That proved to be the only goal of the first half, but the visitors quickly put the game beyond doubt after the break.
Cain Martin doubled the lead from Scott’s cross, and captain Brindley sealed the win with a towering header from a Morgan Vickress corner, claiming his second of the match.

Elsewhere, Adam Watson bagged a hat-trick for St Harmon but ended up on the losing side as the Swifts went down 4-3 at home against Llandrindod Wells Reserves. Watson struck early for St Harmon, but Liam Daniels equalised and a Dan Powell own goal saw the Spa side take the lead. Watson equalised from the penalty spot before half-time and completed his treble with a well-struck half-volley in the second half as the lead changed hands again.
However, Llandrindod, much improved of late, hit back to snatch the points, with the impressive Rueben Baker scoring from a free-kick before providing the assist for Oliver Belfield to smash home the winner.
Penybont United made it back-to-back wins for the first time this season, triumphing 3-1 at an out-of-sorts Presteigne St Andrews. Connor Walby and Logan Evans gave The Polecats a two-goal interval lead, and top scorer Walby got his second and Penybont’s third after the break. Sezar Cakmak reduced the deficit for Presteigne, but it was no more than a consolation as they fell to a sixth league defeat in a row after what had been a promising start to the campaign.
