IT was a disappointing day for locals sides on the Emrys Morgan Cup with Rhayader Town Reserves, Newcastle and St Harmon all bowing out at the second round stage.

Rhayader were on top for much of their toe at Dewi Stars but were beaten 3-1 with Morgan Margetts gaining their consolation. St Harmon found Montgomery Amateur League second division leaders Forden United too strong as they went out 4-0 at home while Newcastle lost 4-1 to Guilsfield Reserves after extra-time with substitute Scott Oxford putting them ahead in the second half of normal time.
