THIS weekend sees Brecon Corries face one of the biggest matches in recent seasons as they welcome Welsh League Division one outfit Aberbargoed Buds to the Rich Field.

Ahead of the JD Welsh Cup second round, the club were visited by Rob Dowling and the camera crew of FAWTV who watched a training session on Wednesday night.

Andrew Howard, head of competitions at the Football Association Wales joined the crew and Adam Jones, vice chairman and secretary of Brecon Corries, who are one of the lowest ranked teams left in the competition, spoke about how it was one of the biggest events in the club’s history for 20 years.

They also spoke to team manager Damian Daniels and team member Paul Keddle, who has already won the JD Welsh Cup before, when he played for Carmarthen Town.

Paul’s teammates Stephen ’Becksy’ Price, Gavin Perry and Rob Chesters also spoke to the cameras.

Kick off is at 2pm at The Rich Field tomorrow, Saturday October 31 and if the Corries are successful they will go in to the hat in Monday night’s draw where they could face a Welsh Premiership team such as TNS or Aberystwyth in the next round of the JD Welsh Cup.
