RHAYADER Town handed themselves a lifeline in the Huws Gray Alliance with a 2-1 victory over Flint Town United on The Weirglodd.
After trailing at the break, The Red Kites hit back with goals from Sean Powell and Christian Jones to notch their first league success since early October.
With Luke Evans sidelined through injury, Rhayader handed a debut to goalkeeper, Ashley Roberts who transferred from Guilsfield last week, while Dane Griffiths made his first start since a move from Caersws.
Flint were ahead at half-time with Kyle Smith taking advantage of poor marking to head in from close range following a corner. But within a minute of the second half kicking off, Rhayader were level with Sean Powell netting from a Dafydd Carruthers cross.
And soon after Town were in front with substitute, Christian Jones rounding off another good move by drilling home. Rhayader might have added a third with Griffiths hitting her bar while Rhydian davies was denied by a first class save.
At the other end, Flint had strong penalty appeals turned down while player-manager, Dylan McPhee was forced to make a goal-line clearance in the closing minutes.
