CROSSTOWN rivals Brecon Corries and Brecon Northcote will meet in a senior league match for the first time this Saturday.
The Brecon Corries have conquered all before them since their summer switch from south Wales football to the Watson Financial Mid Wales League (South) and have already scored more than 100 goals this term.
The unbeaten league leaders make the very short journey along the banks of the Usk to face crosstown rivals, third placed Brecon Northcote, at the Brecon Sports Ground.
Corries defeated the Stags 5-0 in the Aspidistra Radnorshire Cup in October.
The Corries include a number of Northcote players in their line up including regular goal scorer Joel Evans, his twin brothers Craig and Corey who joined the Rich Field club last year to play with older brother Dale who now captains the side.
Northcote’s squad included former Corries player Rhodri Boosey.
The action kicks-off at 2.15pm on Saturday, November 2 at the Brecon Sports Association Ground entrance is over the canal bridge at the Watton.
