Spowert put Cwmgors further ahead with a penalty but Builth scored a converted try to take the regain the lead.

The topsy-turvy game then saw Cwmgors go ahead 12-17 when Cerith Dennard scored under the posts but Buith’s driving maul from a line out, just before the halftime, drew the home side level and the conversion, by the Builth full back, gave the home side a 19-17 advantage at the break.

Builth turned on the style in the final 20 minutes of the second half, following an evenly contested third quarter, to score two further tries, one of which was converted, and a penalty for a convincing 34-17 scoreline.
