Builth Wells 5 Trebanos 0

BUILTH Wells finally notched up their first win of the season thanks to the only score of the game.

Trebanos arrived at the Groe in fourth place in the Swalec 1 West Central but the Bulls were bolstered by the return of tight head David Bayliss.

Winger Gethin Lewis crossed after half an hour to put the Bulls five points up but that was the last score of the game with even full back Dale Jones missing his conversion.

A chip ahead from scrum half Ben Pugh led to the solitary try when a Trebanos player spilled the ball in a crunching tackle.

Centre Gethin Lewis scooped up the lose ball and passed to Davies.

Builth held on to the 5-0 lead into the break despite Bayliss receiving his marching orders just before the half time whistle. Last ditch tackling preserved the advantage in the second half when Builth were again reduced to 14 men when Wayne Morris was also shown a yellow card.

Builth who are one place off the bottom, on six points, welcome ninth place Kenfig Hill to the Groe this Saturday.
