Finlay Daniels, Kai Saurin, and brothers Craig and Joel Evans shared the goals as Brecon Corries got back on the winning trail with a thrilling 4–3 victory at Abercarn United in the Ardal League South East.
The game got off to a scrappy start, and indecision at the back allowed Kyran Howells to give Abercarn the lead. Corries were back on terms midway through the half, with Daniels netting his first senior goal from a Craig Evans cross.
Saurin put Corries ahead two minutes into the second half after Liam McAnally and Jay Ryan Hughes had combined. But goalkeeper Stephen Price conceded a penalty soon after, and in the aftermath, Paul Keddle saw first a yellow and then a red card before Callum Chivers converted from the spot.
Corries showed their character after that, and Craig Evans regained the lead, firing into the top corner from just inside the box after McAnally and Hughes had again linked up down the left. Substitute Joel Evans, making a welcome return from an injury lay-off, added a fourth, but the home side refused to lie down. Substitute Harvey Watkins reduced the deficit in stoppage time, and only a superb late save from Price denied Abercarn a point.
