TRECASTLE YFC Ladies became the NFYFC Champions on Saturday August 7 at Tenbury Show.
After winning their county rally then winning once more at the Royal Welsh Show, they travelled to Tenbury determined to do well. Their hard work and dedication paid off as they progressed through the competition to the final. You could see the concentration and determination on their faces that the Trecastle Ladies meant business.
With celebrations over there was not a moment to share as the it was UK & Irish Tug of War Championships in Llandrindod on August 13.
With three teams from Trecastle representing Wales this was another proud moment for the club. The U19 mens team had a fantastic day taking the Silver medal, while Trecastle member Beth Price was part of the U18 ladies team which took the gold.
With just enough time to do a little packing the Junior Team along with around thirty traveling supporters made its way to the GENSB Youth European Championships in Switzerland leaving on the on August 18.
With a few weeks to rest five members, Mared Lewis, Rhiannon Burton, Geriant Workman, Steffan Davies and Georgia Jones will travel to Sweden on September 7 to compete in the World Tug of War Championships.
