THE Bulls Cycling Club held their Youth presentation day on Sunday, October 9.

The day started with a social ride which was open to all people and saw riders attend from all backgrounds.

A mix of elite pro cyclists, club members and children down to four years of age, all started the ride together at 10.30am.

The ride split into two groups, with a road ride heading along the Wye Valley to Glasbury and the mountain bikes climbing up into the rolling Welsh hills.

The cyclists finished their rides back in Builth where the Bulls generously provided hot soup, tea and cakes for everyone.

The weather was kind, a beautiful sunny day, which made for a perfect social event.

Once all riders returned and were refreshed, the Youth presentations began.

All youth members who have regularly attended coaching sessions this year were awarded with a Bulls club t-shirt, to reward them for their achievements in the coaching sessions.

This was followed with a presentation of Welsh Cycling certificates which were awarded for podium positions in the Welsh Mountain bike series held earlier this year. Awards went to Aelwen Davies, Freya Evans, Cian Evans, Alfie Davies, Finn Davies.

Simon James then made a special presentation to our Bulls Racing team, riders who have represented the club regularly throughout the year.

These nine selected riders received club jackets, sponsored by FE James, to thank them for their commitment and hard work during the season.

The race team have been racing throughout Wales and nationally, putting the Bulls club firmly on the cycling map.
