Llandrindod Wells Probus last week celebrated its 40th anniversary with a celebration lunch at the Hotel Metropole.
The lunch began with Chairman Geraint Hughes giving an illustrated talk on the history of Probus in Llandrindod since its foundation by Llandrindod Rotary Club in 1982.
President Derek Law introduced Dave Richards, the son of founding Chairman Grenville Richards, who unveiled an inscribed Honours Board displaying the names of the Chairmen of Probus since 1982. The board is the work of calligrapher Alan Quincey, who is a member of the club.
The President expressed the thanks of Llandrindod Probus Club to the Hotel Metropole for their generous hospitality over the past 40 years, before joining in an excellent lunch attended by 25 Probus members and 23 guests.
Llandrindod Probus Club would be pleased to welcome applications for membership from retired professional and business men to share in their twice-monthly morning meetings at the Hotel Metropole.
