On Friday, May 12, Brecknock YFC held their 80th Anniversary Dinner in the Clwyd Glamorgan Hall, Royal Welsh Showground.

The evening was attended by present and past members, officers, friends and families.

Everyone was welcomed to the evening by the County President Gethin Havard, which was followed by an opening speech from Evan Morgan. Grace was given by the Deputy President Robert Healey and the guest speaker for the evening was Brian Jones, of Castell Howell Foods.

Following the meal an auction was carried out by Tom Pritchard, Ystradfellte member and McCartneys Auctioneer, in aid of the two charities that the County Chair, Leanne Davies has chosen to support this year - The DPJ Foundation and The Wales Air Ambulance.

The two worthy charities have assisted numerous people in rural areas and communities over the years. The causes need continuous support to ensure they remain operational for years to come.

A huge thank you goes to everyone that supported and donated items for both the auction and the raffle. Fantastic support was given and a tremendous total of £3,945 was raised.

A spokesperson for Brecknock YFC said: "It was great to get the county together to share memories - to celebrate and to mark the occasion."
