A car and a cyclist collided this morning on the A44 between Crossgates and Penybont.

The incident took place at around 7.30am and one person was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening.

A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Dyfed-Powys Police received a report of a collision involving a car and cyclist, on the A44 near Crossgates this morning around 7.30am.

“The road was closed whilst emergency services were at the scene. One person was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening.

“The road re-opened at approximately 10.10am.”
