Powys Rural Crime Team are investigating a despicable act of vandalism, which took place within a private owned, historic graveyard in the Glascwm area, Powys.

Four corner stone supporting pillars were forcibly removed from a raised tombstone style grave, causing irretrievable damage and collapse of the entire structure.

The removed corner stones were subsequently found, placed nearby upon the entranceway into the burial grounds, as if in preparation to be collected and removed. The desecration and violation of a burial ground is a serious offence, which Police take very seriously.
