The family of a 51-year-old motorcyclist who died in a crash on the A40 between Bwlch and Brecon have paid tribute to a deeply loved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and best friend.

Shane Hamilton died following a collision at around 2:30pm on Saturday, September 5.

In a tribute released by Dyfed-Powys Police, his family said: “We as a family are completely heartbroken by the tragic loss of Shane.

“He was a deeply loved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and best friend who brought so much joy to our family and everyone that knew him.

"One of his passions in life was riding his motorbike with his son Luke. The memories they made together on those rides will be treasured forever.

"Shane leaves behind a void that can never be filled and he will be missed beyond words by all his family and friends.

"Goodnight god bless."

The collision involved a white Ford C-Max and a KTM 1290 Duke motorcycle.

Dyfed-Powys Police has appealed for information about the incident.

Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was travelling along the A40 between Bwlch and Brecon at around the time of the collision, especially motorists with dashcam footage.
