Five people were seriously injured in a collision involving multiple vehicles on the A4067 near Craig-y-Nos, with a five-year-old child airlifted to hospital with injuries belived to be life-threatening.
Dyfed-Powys Police is appealing for witnesses following the crash, which happened at around 5:50pm on Sunday (July 5).
The collision involved a green Ford Fiesta, a black Volkswagen Polo and a grey Vauxhall Grandland.
Emergency services attended the scene and five people were taken to hospital for treatment, including a five-year-old child who was airlifted by the Welsh Ambulance Service.
Police said the child remains in hospital in a stable condition.
The driver of the green Ford Fiesta, a 39-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and child neglect.
A yellow Ford Fiesta was later identified as being involved in the incident. The driver of this vehicle, a 65-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
Both men remain in police custody.
Officers are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who was travelling along the A4067 at the time, particularly those with dashcam footage, to come forward.
