A motorcycle rider was taken to hospital yesterday afternoon after sustaining serious injuries in a two vehicle collision.

The collision between a motorbike and car happened on the A44 between Nantmel and Crossgates at about 2.50pm (Thursday, 2 July).

The road was closed while emergency services attended the scene and reopened at around 5.15pm.

A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Dyfed-Powys Police attended to a report of a road traffic collision involving a car and a motorcycle on the A44 between Nantmel at Crossgates at around 14.50pm on Thursday 2 July.

“The motorcycle rider sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital. No other injuries were reported.

“The road was closed while emergency services attended the scene and reopened at around 5.15pm.”
