Police are investigating a series of attempted break-ins at hospital sites in Powys, with officers stepping up security measures following incidents last month.
The incidents, which are being treated as attempted thefts from medical gas storage areas, took place between Friday, June 5 and Sunday, June 7 at hospitals in the Welshpool and Knighton areas.
Dyfed-Powys Police say they are taking a “robust approach” to prevent any further attempts.
PC Strong said anyone with information should contact police urgently.
“I ask that anyone with any information contacts the police urgently,” PC Strong said.
“Depriving a hospital of this vital painkiller could have led to cancelled appointments and disruption to services. Whilst the thieves have been unsuccessful on this occasion, security measures have been increased at all hospitals throughout Powys and local residents will be on the lookout.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Dyfed-Powys Police.
