Police are investigating after three ewes were killed near a Powys village.

The rural crime division of Dyfed-Powys Police is looking into reports of livestock worrying following the discovery of the sheep in Llanyre.

The incident occurred some time between Wednesday, November 1 and Sunday, November 5.

The rural crime team said it is aware of "discussion on social media" that two dogs - possibly stray - have been seen wandering around the village on a few occasions.

"If you have any information regarding these dogs or the livestock attack please contact the team," they said.
