A driver suffered potentially life-changing injuries following a two-vehicle collision on the A483 near Builth Wells over the bank holiday weekend.

Dyfed-Powys Police said officers were called to the crash between Builth Wells and Cilmery just before 3:10pm on Sunday, May 24.

Both drivers were taken to hospital.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Dyfed-Powys Police attended to a report of a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A483 between Builth Wells and Cilmery just before 3:10pm on Sunday, May 24.

“One driver was airlifted to hospital with injuries described as potentially life-changing. The second driver was also taken to hospital via land ambulance.

“The road was closed while emergency services attended the scene and reopened at around 7:30pm.”
