Two vehicles were destroyed by fire in the early hours of Saturday following a collision on the A40 near Brecon.

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said crews from Brecon and Talgarth were called to the scene at 1:16am after a car collided with a stationary campervan, igniting a blaze.

Firefighters used breathing apparatus, hose reels, small tools, and lighting equipment to bring the fire under control. No one was trapped or injured in either vehicle, but both were completely destroyed.

Crews left the scene at 2:56am.

The B&R have approached Dyfed-Powys Police for comment.
