DECEMBER was a busy month for Pontfaen YFC
The members entertained the elderly at the Builth Wells Contact the Elderly Christmas Lunch at The Greyhound Hotel. Then the choir travelled to sing at Bethel Chapel near Brecon.
Last Monday they held their Christmas Draw and Quiz at the Greyhound Hotel, with question master Gareth Richards.
There were some fantastic prizes in the Christmas draw and the club would like to thank the following for donating prizes Truly Scrumptious, Ann Morgan Penmaenau, Morgan’s Butchers, The Fruit & Vegetable stall on the Groe, Strand Café, Builth Wells & Victoria-Lynn Hair & Beauty.
The Quiz and Draw made a grand total of £770 for Wales Air Ambulance, Cancer Research UK and Brecon Mountain Rescue.
Members then braved the weather and went carol singing around the villages of Merthyr Cynog, Pontfaen, Cradoc and Cradoc Golf Club before finishing at The Vale, Lower Chapel raising £221.19 for the charities.
