Archdeacon Griffiths Primary School in Llyswen has organised a clothes and shoe collection with eco-friendly charity Bag2School to raise funds towards exciting school trips, engaging activities, and purchasing new resources for the school.

The Bag2School charity helps schools, businesses, community groups, local councils, and charities raise funds through textile recycling.

They will pay the school 40 pence a kilo for good quality men’s, ladies’ and children’s clothing, paired shoes, handbags, belts and accessories. A driver will collect the bags from the school on Thursday, May 9.

A spokesperson for Archdeacon Griffiths Primary School said: “It's such a wonderful and easy way to help the environment by recycling unwanted items so they don't go into landfill, whilst raising extra funds for the school!”
