A man has been arrested in connection with alleged attempt to abduct a 14-year-old girl in Ystradgynlais.
Dyfed-Powys Police said it recieved a report of an attempted abduction of a girl near Wind Road at around 4.40pm today.
The force said the girl was uninjured and is being supported by specialist officers.
It said a man has been arrested and is in police custody and that an investigation is ongoing.
A spokeswoman said: "Offences of this nature are fortunately uncommon. Extra reassurance patrols will be conducted in the area."
