Artistic Director of Brecon Festival Ballet, Katy Sinnadurai BEM, is set to attend the Coronation of King Charles III next month.

Ms Sinnadurai said she is delighted and honoured to be attending the Coronation, which takes place on May 6 at Westminster Abbey, London.

"I'm really excited to be representing our charity at this historic event," said Ms Sinnadurai.

"I'm just one person, but in reality, Brecon Festival Ballet is a huge team, made up of professional dancers, professional orchestral musicians, local children, adult actors, singers, artists, craftsmen and women and many, many other volunteers backstage and behind the scenes. The hard work goes on all year round by dedicated and motivated members of the BFB team, culminating in 5 performances of the famous ballet The Nutcracker at Theatr Brycheiniog each Christmas. Last year over 150 people were involved in the production and over 1700 tickets were sold.

"We're so proud to bring high quality dance to mid-Wales and provide opportunities for dance education, training and widespread community involvement!"

The Coronation Ceremony will see His Majesty King Charles III crowned alongside The Queen Consort, and will be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury.
