Folk troubadour Beans On Toast will headline The Foundry in Brecon as part of his annual winter tour.

The singer-songwriter, whose real name is Jay McAllister, will perform at the venue on Saturday, November 21, as part of his In Your Neck Of The Woods Tour, which will see him play shows across the UK throughout November and December.

Known for his storytelling, humour and songs about everyday life, Beans On Toast’s performances combine music with personal stories, covering everything from family and friendships to nature, protest and community.

Organisers describe his shows as “part concert, part gathering”, with audiences promised an evening of songs that can move from laughter to more emotional moments.

Having built a loyal following over nearly two decades, Beans On Toast has been praised by critics including Louder Than War, which described him as “perhaps the defining voice of a generation”, while singer Frank Turner called him “a proper folk singer”.

The Brecon date is one of 23 shows in November and December, with other performances taking place in towns and cities including Bath, Cheltenham, Narberth, York and Norwich.
