The body of a missing man has been found in Breconshire.

Stephen Roper, 53, who had been missing from his home in Beaufort since Saturday, August 24, was found dead in Talybont-on-Usk on Wednesday morning.

Police in Ebbw Vale had been appealing for information regarding the whereabouts of Mr Roper.

Mr Roper was reported missing on Saturday but was last seen in the Brynmawr area on August 21.

When he was last seen he was wearing a yellow polo shirt.

Gwent Police said the body of Mr Roper had been found in area of The Glyn in Talybont.

There are no suspicious circumstances.
