The club’s Counter-Strike 2 team finished top UK-wide competition, which is open to teams from across the country, defeating NEDS 2-0 in the Grand Final on September 15.

The victory marks another step forward for S.E.A. Dragons as the club looks to build on its success in Wales and compete at a higher level across the UK. Its Counter-Strike team has won the Welsh Esports League title in all four seasons it has entered.

Founder and Team Principal Patryk Białowąs said: “This is a massive result for us. Our Counter-Strike team has won four Welsh titles in four seasons, but we’ve always wanted to see how far we can take that success outside Wales.

“UKIC gives us the opportunity to compete against teams from across the UK, so to come away as champions is something we’re incredibly proud of. We want to continue establishing ourselves as one of the biggest esports clubs in Wales, while increasingly putting ourselves in the mix with some of the best clubs and teams across the UK.

“To be doing that while representing Brecon and Powys makes it even more special.”

The result comes ahead of another milestone for the club this weekend. S.E.A. Dragons’ Armed Forces Rocket League team has qualified for the BFBS Pro League national LAN final in London on Saturday, 26 September, after a strong qualifying campaign.

The squad, which was established specifically for serving military personnel and those from Armed Forces families, will represent S.E.A. Dragons at the club’s first in-person LAN final.

Białowąs added: “The military team is something we were really excited to launch this year, so seeing them qualify for the national final in London has been brilliant.

“It’s going to be our first LAN final as a club and another opportunity for us to take S.E.A. Dragons and Brecon onto a bigger stage.”
