On Friday, 26 September, Brecon fire crew helped saved a horse that had fallen down a steep bank, and found itself in a very awkward position.

Pontardawe firefighters, the Brecon crew, a local farmer and a vet all managed to retrieve the two and a half ton horse from the challenging position it found itself, just outside of Aber village.

The horse was prepared for a gentle lift back to safety, and retrieved by eight pairs of hands, safe and well.
