Artwork on Brecon Promenade has been restored to its former glory after graffiti was painted over by a team of volunteers.

The beach scene mural, in a seating area of Brecon Promenade, was spray painted with graffiti, dismaying local residents.

It prompted Marie Matthews from the Brecon Volunteers Bureau to organise a small working party with the help of Neath and Port Talbot College students to re-paint the mural.

NPTC are working with ELITE-supported employment and two of their students who helped.

Brecon residents have already complimented the volunteers on the restoration work completed by a group of enthusiastic local people.
