Fire crews were called to a house fire in Bronllys on Saturday evening after a tumble dryer caught fire in a kitchen.
Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said crews from Talgarth, Brecon and Crickhowell stations were alerted to the incident at 6:22pm on January 24. On arrival, firefighters found a fire inside a semi-detached domestic property, which had already spread to a neighbouring home.

Crews used breathing apparatus, hose reel jets, thermal imaging cameras and ventilation equipment to tackle the blaze. After the fire was extinguished, firefighters checked the loft space to make sure no hot spots remained.
The fire service said the blaze started in the kitchen and was caused accidentally by a tumble dryer.
Following the incident, the fire service has issued a warning to households about the risks linked to tumble dryers and other white goods. Residents are being urged never to leave appliances running unattended, particularly overnight or when leaving the house.
Firefighters also warned against overloading tumble dryers or drying items that have been in contact with flammable liquids such as cooking oil. People are advised to take warning signs seriously, including burning smells or clothes feeling unusually hot at the end of a cycle, and to have appliances checked by a professional if there are concerns.
