Builth Wells Ladies Choir has received a £500 boost from Builth Rotary Club, following a recent quiz night at the Greyhound Hotel.
The club holds monthly quizzes to raise funds for worthy causes and double the takings on the night.
Rotary President Hugh Garner presented the cheque to the choir, which has been a cornerstone of the town’s arts scene since its founding in 1968. The well-respected group of local women enjoy singing together and continue to bring music to the community.
The choir meets on Wednesday evenings at the Old TIC building on the Groe car park, welcoming both members and audiences to their performances.
