The Builth Wells Rotary Club Quiz had another successful evening recently to help raise funds for Builth Wells 1st Scout Group.
The quiz is held on the third Tuesday of each month, in The Greyhound Hotel, Builth Wells.
The money raised is then doubled by the Builth Rotary and the total allocated to a different charity each month.
The recipients this month received a cheque for £235. The cheque was presented by Builth Wells President, Baden Powell to Sarah Morgan, Scout Group Leader.
The Scout Group was seeking help to provide funding for sports equipment, balls, bats, nets and mats to encourage safe play for the Group members. This will be combined with a grant from Wakenham Trust.
The Scout Group is run by Richard Morgan and his wife Sarah. They meet every Tuesday evening 6pm - 7:30pm.
Richard said they are presently looking for a Cub Leader for the 8 - 10 year olds.
