Gwent and Powys Army Cadet Force will be hosting a night to remember at the 19th Rorke’s Drift Concert.

The concert will feature over 100 Army Cadet musicians performing a wide range of music, from traditional military marches to popular classics, as well as featuring Rossini’s "The Barber of Seville" in honour of the 200th anniversary of its premiere. Our homegrown talent, Cadet Sergeant Major Adam Wilson (17 years old) from Gwent and Powys Army Cadet Force, will be performing Mozart: Horn Concerto No.4, Rondo.

Held on February 20 in Brecon’s Theatr Brycheiniog, the Rorke’s Drift Concert is one of the highlights in the Army Cadet Force calendar. Musicians from all four corners of the United Kingdom come together to perform for this spectacular event. This year plays host to members of the Army Cadet Force Pipes and Drums, who will be travelling down from Scotland to perform alongside their fellow cadets.

The concert will be compared by the ever-comedic Warrant Officer Class 2 Adrian Beckett MBE, Senior Band Sergeant Major of the Household Division. Mr Beckett is part of the British Army Major Events Team, and organises prestigious events for the Army in London.

Tickets are still available for purchase from the theatre, either online or by calling 01874 611622.
