Former Radnor YFC County Chairman Gemma Bufton following the success of Radnor’s Chairman’s Ball has made a generous donation of £630 to support Heather Lewis, whose family hosted the Ball, in her fundraising efforts to buy equipment to support safer sleep for babies.
Heather has been raising money to provide apnoea monitors for families who have lost a baby through sudden infant death syndrome and for paediatric first aid training in Powys. As a Health Visitor Heather has experienced first- hand the experiences of parents who have lost babies and has worked hard to provide equipment to alleviate the anxiety of parents who then go on to have another baby.
Former County Chairman, Gemma Bufton said “as a County we are delighted to raise money for such a worthwhile cause that will help families throughout Powys. Radnor YFC are proud to continue to support other local charities which have such a vital impact on our local communities’.
A collection will also be held at Radnor YFC Presidents Carol service on the 9th December 2018 at Llandegley Church, with proceeds being donated to the Lullaby Trust who give parents advice to help reduce the risk of SIDS and support bereaved families.
