On Saturday June 17th 2023, during the celebrations of the opening of Cwmdu Village Hall kitchen, the local community gathered to spend a few moments with colleagues from the British Heart Foundation.

Colin Morris raised £1300 for the British Heart Foundation whilst he was the Landlord of the Community owned pub, The Farmers Arms, which is in the heart of Cwmdu village. 

The charity is close to the people of Cwmdu, and through quizzes, harvest supper, donations and raffles, the local community raised a large amount money.

Colin Morris said: "It has been a privilege to support this much needed charity and despite the Covid 19 pandemic and during some difficult times, the community came together to raise this money.

"I am delighted to present the cheque to the British Heart Foundation."

The charity thanked Colin for his hard work and spoke about the much needed research that the charity undertakes to improve the lives of so many people.
