A PLANNING application for a permanent Gypsy site on the western edge of Brecon has been submitted by Powys County Council.
The authority is asking the Brecon Beacons National Park (BBNP) for permission to develop a 14 berth caravan site on land next to the Brecon Enterprise Park adjacent to the main A470 to Merthyr Tydfil.
It's hoped the application will bring the long running saga of efforts to find the Romany Gypsy Smith family a permanent home in the Brecon area to a conclusion.
