Dyfed-Powys Police has begun the search for a new Chief Constable following the retirement of Dr Richard Lewis in June.

Police and Crime Commissioner Dafydd Llywelyn said: “I’m looking for an exceptional leader who shares our commitment to community-based policing and who can inspire confidence both within the organisation and among the communities we serve.

“The successful candidate will need to demonstrate integrity, innovation, and the ability to drive forward high-performing, preventative policing.”

Important dates in the recruitment process include the closing date for applications on August 29, shortlisting on September 8, familiarisation opportunities from September 9, and interviews scheduled for September 22 and 23.

More information on the Chief Constable role is available on the Police and Crime Commissioner’s vacancies webpage.
