Several schools across Powys are to close or partially close on Thursday as extreme heat continues to affect Wales and parts of the UK.
A red weather warning for extreme heat in southern areas of the country has been extended until the end of Thursday, with an amber warning covering Wales and much of England.
The Met Office has warned temperatures could reach 38C to 40C in some locations, bringing disruption to schools and public services.
A number of schools in Powys were closed on Wednesday, with more announcing closures for Thursday.
The schools currently closed tomorrow (Thursday) are: Clyro Church in Wales School, Gwernyfed High School, Llanidloes High School, Welshpool High School, Ysgol Bro Hyddgen, Ysgol Bro Tawe, Ysgol Golwg y Cwm, Ysgol Gymraeg Dyffryn y Glowyr, Ysgol Maesydderwen, Ysgol Penmaes, and Ysgol Robert Owen.
Hay-on-Wye C.P. School will remain open until midday before closing for the rest of the day.
Llangynidr C.P. School will also be closed tomorrow afternoon.
Further school closures or partial openings are expected to be confirmed as the heat warning continues.
