Two World Records were broken on Tuesday, 26 May, at Hay Festival.
An official Guiness World Record adjudicator confirmed that young Idris built the tallest stack of books in three minutes for an under 16, and adults Lizzie and Finn built the tallest stack of books in an hour.

Both records were broken live on the Discovery Stage at the festival as part of the ‘Dive into the Guinness World Records.’ Guinness World Records Editor-in-Chief Craig Glenday bought the records book to life with some special guests of actual record holders.

Audience members were encouraged to bring books along to participate in the record-breaking attempts, with the books that were used to break the records being donated to Oxfam afterwards.
