Starting at 10am on Saturday, and finishing at 4pm, activities on the day will include guided walks, dragonfly identification, arts and crafts, as well as wildlife recording, with a spot of pond dipping. The lake is home to an array of species, including the rare Variable Damselfly. Visitors will learn fascinating facts about dragonflies, and the beautiful lake.

A spokesperson for the event said,

“We are all greatly looking forward to tomorrow’s event which will designate Llangorse Lake as Wales’ first Dragonfly Hotspot. We’ll be enthusing everyone all about dragonflies and there will be dragonfly related activities for everyone throughout the day including crafts, pond dipping, self-guided trails, a guided dragonfly walk and new information panels to admire along with a wealth of information all about dragonflies and damselflies. Help will also be on hand to see, identify and record dragonflies.”
