TRADERS and shoppers in Crickhowell are being warned of fake £50 notes circulating in the area.
Dyfed-Powys Police said three men tried to exchange the forged notes at Crickhowell Post Office today.
Anyone offered the notes is being urged to contact Dyfed-Powys Police.
The force said: "Three males with Irish accents tried to exchange notes at the Post Office. If you are offered these notes, do not accept them and telephone Police to report the same giving as much detail as possible of the males including any vehicle if seen.
