Sheep producers across Wales will have the opportunity to refresh and reconnect at the NSA Wales/Cymru Regional annual meeting next month.
The meeting will take place at the Royal Welsh Showground’s International Pavilion at Llanelwedd on Monday, February 9.
The event will provide attendees with the chance to question and raise issues with Llyr Gruffydd MS, Shadow Minister for Rural Affairs, and benefit from updates on key industry topics. Speakers will include Nicola Noble, NSA Project Officer, and Gareth Jones of British Wool.
Helen Roberts, NSA Cymru Development Officer, said she is delighted to welcome both long-standing members and newcomers.
“The meeting is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the work of NSA, the projects we are currently involved in, and the impact we aim to make across the sector,” she said.
“We are also pleased to host two engaging speakers, Llyr Gruffydd and Gareth Jones, who will be sharing their insights during the session.”
Nicola Noble, who manages projects at the National Sheep Association and edits NSA Sheep Farmer magazine, brings a wealth of experience from both her farming and research background. She oversees internal and external projects, providing technical expertise across the sector. She also takes a personal interest in fostering the next generation of farmers, with her two young children helping care for the family’s 100-ewe flock as “mini farmers in training.”
The day begins at 11am with the AGM, which will include the election of a new Chair and Vice Chair.
NSA Wales is the Welsh arm of the National Sheep Association, representing sheep farmers, sharing practical advice, supporting training, and giving farmers a voice in tackling industry challenges.
Producers wishing to attend should contact Helen Roberts on 07976 803066 or email [email protected] to register, and indicate whether they will be staying for lunch.
