Two children and an adult were injured in a five-vehicle crash on Saturday, July 18, on the A470 near Rhayader.

The collision took place at 11:55am as police officers closed the road whilst the vehicles were recovered.

The injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Dyfed-Powys Police received reports of a five-vehicle collision on the A470, near Rhayader, at around 11:55am on Saturday, July 18.

“The road was closed for the incident to be safely managed. Two children and an adult were injured, none believed to be life-threatening or changing. Four of the vehicles were recovered and the road re-opened at around 3:55pm.”
